A Wide Range of Color Choices and Practically No Maintenance
Quartz countertops are fabricated from crushed quartz (usually more than 90% of the mix) and blended with resins for binding and pigments for enhanced color. Quartz countertops combine the beauty of natural stone with the color consistency and ease of maintenance of manufactured surfaces.
Quart is available in a wide range of color, pattern, texture, and finish options. It is usually manufactured to have a similar appearance to marble, but quartz countertops are also made to take on the matte finish of limestone, the textured finish of granite, or the gloss of a highly polished stone. Quartz counters can fit any design and will be able to coordinate with any color in your plans.
Quartz is non-porous, so it is resistant to staining and bacteria. Other than making sure you use a trivet with very hot pots and pans, a quartz countertop does not have to be sealed or protected. Its’ so easy to clean – just wipe the spill or mess with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners though (and they are not needed anyway!).
While not as tough as granite and quartzite, a quartz countertop is less prone to denting and chipping because it is more flexible than those hard stones. It is also highly resistant to scratching. A quartz countertop will probably stay beautiful and functional for as long as you own it, and if you do change it out, it’s because you want a new look.
